ELIM CHURCH CENTRE, HASTING

WHO’S WHO – THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

Pastor Gwilym Hughes

Hi my name is Gwilym, I am married to Beth and we have two children, Ffion aged ten and Cerys who is eight. I come from Cardiff, where I was brought up in a Christian home. After three years   in Bible College, I spent some time at Teen Challenge, a Christian Centre working with teenagers who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. I have been a Pastor within Elim for twenty years, during which time I have worked in Liverpool city centre church as well as establishing a church plant near the Brecon Beacons, so I have been privileged to minister in a variety of situations. I am now enjoying my tenth year Pastoring the Elim Church in Hastings and am privileged to work alongside the leadership and to see God blessing the church as we continue to grow from strength to strength.

My name is Brian Maylam. I have been a member of Elim Church for 58 years and an Elder here in Hastings for many years. I am married to Grace, who plays keyboard in the church, and we have a son Darren who is 20. You won’t have seen much of me over the past few months as I have been recovering from a stroke, but I
am believing God for complete healing

Hi my name is Colin Morgan and I am married to Kathleen. I am honoured and blessed to be serving this church as an Elder for around 15 years. Originally from Belfast we have been members of this church since 1989, seen our sons Richard and Neil grow up within it, married and serving God with their wives in other parts of England.

Hi everyone my name is Scott Brunton. I have been Elder for the past 7 years. I feel it’s important to mention that although I title myself elder I am by far the youngest of the bunch. I have been a Christian for about 25 years and was brought up within a positive Christian Family environment. I am married to Lorraine and we have one 16 year old daughter. That has the adverse affect of making feel very old indeed.

In my secular work I am involved with working with disadvantaged children and families. This is a very rewarding role but one that allows me to have a good understanding around local needs and concerns. I thank God for the opportunities to do this kind of work.
